The Incarnation of the Word of Life

On Not Loving the World

Warnings Against Denying the Son

My friends, this shows us what love is and what it means. Love is not only defined by the sacrifice of Jesus – 1 John 3:16 – it is also defined by the giving of the Father.

It was a great sacrifice for our Heavenly Father to send the Second Person of the Trinity, as a sacrifice to pour out the judgment we deserved upon God the Son.

We need to appreciate this fully, and receive the Fatherly love God has to give us through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ.

My prayer is that we would go forth proclaiming the saving power of Jesus Christ and the Sacrifice He made for our sins on the Cross. That we would spend time in the Word and that no lesson be lost. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

All we have to do is allow Jesus to be our Lord. Do not be surprised if people mock you once you become a believer.

They do not understand God’s love for them, and therefore, cannot understand your love for God.

My prayer is that we would withstand the mocking of others through Jesus Christ. That we would dismiss it and preach the Word of God so that they may know His Love. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

The Bible tells us the tongue can be venomous. But through Christ our actions can bring people to Him to be saved for eternity. We must turn our actions over to God for Him to work through us, on our own we are not capable.

My prayer is that our actions would mirror those of Jesus Christ. That we turn to the Word of God to learn more how our actions and words affect those who we are trying to witness to about Christ. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

My friend, though sin is present in this world, it need not remain a hindrance to our relationship with God – we may find complete cleansing (from all unrighteousness) as we confess our sins through Jesus Christ.

Our sins are not forgiven because we confess; if this were the case – if forgiveness for a sin could only come where there was confession – then we would all be damned, because it would be impossible for us to confess every sin we ever commit.

We are forgiven because our punishment was put upon Jesus, we are cleansed by His blood.

However, confession is still vital to maintain relationship with God, and this is the context John speaks from. As God convicts us of sin that is hindering our fellowship with Him, we must confess it and receive forgiveness and cleansing for our relationship with God to continue without hindrance.

I Invite You to Pray with me:

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank making Him a sin offering for us, that we would have eternal life. I pray Father to you the sins in my life, that the blood of Christ would continually wash over them, that I would turn from them and come to the feet of Jesus. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
